I guess that when you take a look at the travel industry, things have certainly changed and we can easily attribute this to post Pandemic conditions.
Any progress to greater accessibility for passengers with disabilities has taken a few steps backwards and it all has to do with new employees not being made aware of how they should be engaging and communicating with passengers with disabilities.
Added to this is horrific pressure being placed on management to produce more and very quickly and as a result of this and once again issues pertaining to accessibility matters are being pushed to the back burner.
Then we have the quality of the new hires.
Put all of these together and we have a travel industry in semi crisis.
Any progress made towards greater accessibility before the Pandemic has been wiped out and now it appears that we need to start all over again.
What to do?
Any thoughts would be greatly welcomed.
Maybe it is time to start thinking outside the box!
I’ll end by gently reminding anyone listening and reading that with a rapidly aging population the passengers with disabilities population is only going to continue to grow.
