Dear readers: On behalf of BFC-CSB I would like to sincerely thank you for your continuing support of our organization.
As a grassroots non partisan national organization, we find ourselves in a very unique position in that we can give the individual Canadian with a disability every opportunity to speak up, speak out, and reach out. We strongly believe that the Federal government needs to pay more attention to the concerns and feedback of the individual Canadian with a disability and it is our mission to ensure that this takes place on a sustained basis.
To this end, we continue to invite subscribers to our BFC Advocating for Change Group to participate in our mini monthly survey and monthly results are posted to this Facebook group page. In addition we send along our quarterly results to Minister Qualtrough’s office, to Economic and Social Development Canada, to the ASC committee, and to the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
We believe that all of these initiatives along with our constant efforts to stay in touch with those entities mentioned above are extremely important in order for BFC-CSB to maintain its profile on a federal level.
Over the last quarter, we submitted proposals to Minister Qualtrough’s office and to Economic and Social Development Canada to host and run a coast to coast tele town hall on their behalf. We believe that especially now during this time of COVID, coast to coast tele town halls would be one of the most effective ways to foster more collaboration and communication among Government departments, organizations, and Canadians with disabilities.
I’d like to close by once again thanking you for your continued support and to invite you to reach out to us whenever you have any questions.
Please send your email to info@barrierfreecanada.org.
With very best wishes for your continued safe keeping,
Donna J. Jodhan, President
