How big is advocacy?
This is probably one of the most difficult questions for me to respond to and looking back at my own career, I truly believe that I really do not have a good answer to share.
Yes! Over the years, I have engaged in so many different roles, ranging from those as an advocate, author, coach, dinner mystery writer and producer, entrepreneur, and podcast commentator.
I have also engaged in so many things ranging from the smallest to the largest and at the end of the day my honest opinion would be that advocacy is as big as one wants it to be.
From advocating for my condo management office to provide me with documents in electronic format to taking the Canadian Government to Court over inaccessible websites or advocating for an accessible Canada Act.
I have gone from the smallest to the largest
So at the end of the day I would probably say that advocacy as is big as you want it to be.
It is all about one’s comfort zone and the size of advocacy really does not matter.
What matters is that all sizes of advocacy are important; from the smallest to the largest and I respectfully submit that as long as my advocacy can help others then I am happy.
My final thoughts?
When it comes to advocacy you are free to make it as big as you want it to be!
No restrictions!
Just my two cents for today.
