The goal is to put in place a basic communications strategy to support the advocacy efforts of Barrier Free Canada. Some ideas for what this might include are:
- Website
- Twitter/Facebook/YouTube presence
- Newsletter style email templates
- Logo
- Letterhead
- Consistent branding across these platforms
Potential features/characteristics of the website might include:
- Word Press website
- Redirected to domain barrierfree.ca
- Could use a testimonial video to explain in a more personal way why average citizens should care about this issue
- Means of posting material such as updates, letters, party commitments, policy papers, etc. and a mechanism for inviting comments
- A form visitors can use to sign up to receive email updates
- Website expected to be up for a minimum of several years
- Hope is to launch before end of year
